Behind the Bow: The Ellie Rae
"The Ellie Rae" is named for Ellie Rae Steltz. After receiving news that Ellie’s newborn bloodwork screening came back abnormal, she was in and out of Vanderbilt Children’s hospital for 3 months. Ellie was diagnosed with DiGeorge Syndrome which affects her low T cell counts (immune fighting cells) in her blood. She also has a rare heart defect called Truncus Arteriosis. Ellie just had her first open heart surgery and will likely have more throughout her life.
Net proceeds of this bow will go directly to the Steltz family toward medical bills.
